discover the abbey of beauport, located in the bay of paimpol in brittany.

preserved in brittany, classified " monument historique" in 1862 after the action of prosper Merime.
founded by the count Alain de Goelo in 1202, th abbey succeeded to a first monastic institution built
on the island of saint riom in the bay of paimpol.
its name beauport or potus bellus shaw although its outstanding coastal dimension: it was a centre for pilgrims to "saint jacques de compostelle" and a centre of trade maritime economy.
